Operation times of a few hours from the start of manufacturing to installation of the systems in the customer's plant necessitate maximum precision. As an internal service provider, our logistics department is responsible for supplying production with the right quantity of material at the right time and in the right location.
Depending on the requirement of the respective production line or the individual workplaces and assembly stations, material supply is carried out, in consideration of the lean management methodology, either order-based, using the Kanban procedure or using an optimal combination of both supply strategies.
Besides goods receiving and goods shipping, the logistics department is also responsible for warehousing, warehouse control and administration and container management. We additionally take care of customs handling for our international customers.
Based on our expertise and long-term experience, we develop targeted supply strategies such as e.g. just-in-sequence or just-in-time together with our customers in order to efficiently and effectively support the value-added chain. Our large IT department, which is extensively responsible for fast product throughput thanks to lean software solutions, is extremely important for just-in-time and just-in-sequence manufacturing.
